I've been surrounded by dance my entire life. For as long as I can remember I've watched the joy that dance has brought my family during all our holiday and and special parties. I spent my childhood in tap and jazz and my adolescence teaching myself gymnastics (which I wasn't allowed to take for fear I'd break a leg at the least). Bellydance found me when I was secretly adopted by my best friend's Egyptian family. Through them I saw my first dancer at the famous 'Ibis' in Manhattan. Her elegant arm movements and soft hip motions along with her utter joy in the dance hypnotized me. Shortly thereafter, I started taking lessons with the best: the late, great and mesmerizing Serena Wilson. Her smile, grace, and genuine love of the dance kept me a loyal student for seven years. After two years, I was performing at clubs, parties, restaurants and since have performed in Egypt, Greece and Taiwan. Bellydance, for me, has nurtured my soul and showered me with confidence. It's a beautiful and graceful dance, which awakens muscles that are rarely used in workouts. My job is to help you awaken these muscles, and use them in an energizing and stimulating workout while creating our own beautiful dance and having a fun experience at the same time.
